Drug discovery professional with 15 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry (Merck Sharp & Dohme and Almirall) specialised in in vitro assay development (biochemical and cellular for different targets and phenotypes, using a wide range of technologies), their use to run screening campaigns, support to research programs and compound characterisation.
For the last 6 years I have had the pleasure to lead screening groups of 7 and 10 collaborators being my last position, Head of Screening Department and member of the Research Committee and Program Generation Team. With a proven capacity to manage people and research projects (internally and/or with external partners/CROs) my main focus, being the team leader of the different groups, has been:
Team: Motivation, mentoring, delegation, recognition, fostering of their visibility and ideas interchange.
Strategy: Team organisation, continuous improvement and the establishment of the Department direction.
Innovation: Adding value introducing new technologies, methodologies and screening strategies.
Results: Ensure the quality of the tasks/services provided by the team guiding them and establishing reporting methodologies (Abase requirements, written reports, presentations).
